images-4-1.jpgThis is Larry Hryb Lawrence, alias Major Nelson, who is director of programming at Microsoft, who confirmed the date of November 22, via its official blogimages-4.jpg. It was short, just announcing the November 22 and citing countries where the console will be available during the initial launch. These are Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, France, the United Kingdom and the United States. We also know that Microsoft will make the console available in other markets by 2014. It is already possible to do pre-orders on Amazon and Microsoft Store.

As usual, the main rival to Microsoft's console is the Sony PlayStation. The PS4 is scheduled to come out November 15 in the U.S. and November 29 in Europe. The date announced by Microsoft in between. In the United States, this means that both consoles will all be available before Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving), which sounds kick off the Christmas shopping period.
